Chapter 3. Main Window

The main window is visible as soon as you start KMLOVoice.

3.1. Dialog Elements

The main window of KMLOVoice contains a menubar, a toolbar, a statusbar and the list of formerly received voice messages.

The function of the menubar is explained in the Menu Entries Section.

The Toolbar provides short cuts for some of the menu commands. Some of them are only available while a message file in the list is selected.

The message list shows the voice messages you have formerly received. The columns of this list have the following meaning:

Name

The file name of the facsimile document. The names are generated by the modem when the facsimile is received.

New

This flag indicates if the file is new. That means it has not been viewed or printed yet. Green tick means yes, red cross means no. Notice that you can't delete facsimile files as long as they are indicated to be new.

Date (Time)

The date and time when your modem received the facsimile.

Caller

The caller ID of the sender where the voice message came from. If you have defined an alias for this sender, this alias is displayed.

Duration

The length of the message in seconds.

Size

The file size in bytes of the message file.

File

This flag indicates if the message file still exists on your local data directory. Green tick means yes, red cross means no.

You can double-click on a message file to open the playback window with this file. The right mouse button provides a context menu. Deleted files can be removed from the list with File->Purge Directory.

The statusbar gives you some brief hints of what's going on.
